Here are the 10 teams (total 50 students) and their Mentors from 10 different educational institutions in India, collaborating for the very first time, in a unique project to design and develop the 'AK-EDUSAT' 3U Cube Satellite. Delighted ISRO is very supportive of such student-based initiatives and is keen to ensure the Project is successful.
IWSF is grateful to the leaders of KCG College of Technology (Chennai), Aeolus Aero Tech (Bengaluru), the scientists from ISRO (current and former) as well as the AKVIM (Abdul Kalam Vision India Movement) leaders who received and interacted with all the 10 winning teams of students to design and develop the 'AK-EDU-SAT'. Once launched, this Cube-sat shall aim to network thousands of E-Learning Smart Classrooms, Digital Libraries, Rural clinics, Women Empowerment Centers, etc. even in remote corners of India, bringing modern Technology for the benefit of everyone.
IWSF requests the citizens and corporates of all sizes to support the 'AK-EDUSAT' Project and encourage students to take up Space Technologies as desired by beloved Excellency Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
